The Model 140-OmniScan is available in both a fixed hardwired version and a portable battery-powered version. This turnstile is large enough to INTERNALLY mount a bar code scanner, plus the electronics needed for access control with large graphics displays, etc..
The Model 140-OmniScan has a modern appearance. Its tripod mechanism is the "HD Series" work horse; the single most reliable turnstile mechanism in the world. The Model 140-OmniScan is designed to interface with any automated ticketing system and to allow field upgrading of internal control electronics so one can use it for decades despite changing ticketing systems.

Mechanical Mechanism: Ratchet of 1″ x 6.5″ machined cast iron. Use aided by springs of 0.175″ dia. spring steel. Motion stabilized by large rotary shock absorber and ´” thick cast iron two-lobe cam. Self Centered by 1/2″ steel compression shoe.
Unlocking Controls: One continuous-duty rated 110 VAC or 240 VAC or 24VDC solenoid with 620% of required strength. Solenoid operates for 45 milliseconds per passage. All unlocking elements mechanical. No time relays or transformers.
